ISO/IEC 18033-7:2022/DAmd 1, the record as it stands

This page records the facts ISO publishes about the amendment, including the stage, the edition and the eight pages, the facts in the base standard, and the one date that is ours. It is the page to check when someone asks whether the amendment is out, what stage it is at, or where a date came from.

The date, and why it is labelled estimated

The ISO record shows a stage and a stage label, not a date. We plan with 15 September 2027 because that is 330 days from the record date and it fits the usual interval from close of voting to publication. It is our estimate. It is not an ISO date and it is not a commitment by the committee. Every page that shows it also shows the word estimated.

The stage code is the fact to act on. If the stage moves to 40.92 or 50.00, the plan moves with it, whatever the calendar says. That is why the watch reads the stage and the stage date rather than only the date we estimated.

Not in the public previewClause 6.4, clause 7 and its subclauses, Annex A, Annex B, bibliography

The ISO public preview holds the foreword, the introduction, clauses 1 to 6.3 and the contents list. Every fact about the base text on this site comes from that sample or from the catalogue record. Where the preview stops, the unit page says the body is not in the public preview and does not describe it.

What happens next, in ISO's own stages

  1. 40.92, the full report is circulated to the committee. The record may show a text change and a new stage date.
  2. 50.00, approval. The text is close to final but not published.
  3. 60.00, under publication. ISO is producing the edition.
  4. 60.60, published. The text is available and the claims can be updated.

These are the usual stages, not a schedule. The committee can change the path, and the record is the only authority on where the document is.
