How the record is written

One reviewed record drives every page, the free check and the kit. The record is built from two public sources and the live catalogue, and every field carries a source pointer. This page explains the rules so a reader can test the output.

What the public preview covers, and what it does not

The base standard is read from a public preview of 11 pages from 18: the foreword, the introduction, clauses 1 to 6.3 and the contents list. The amendment is recorded from a catalogue record, not a text. Where the text stops, the page says the body is not in the public preview and states no requirement. Where the catalogue is silent, the field says not stated in the record.

Our words, not the text

A requirement is a sentence we wrote from the public text. Only titles, defined terms and data element names stay verbatim. Every authored field is checked against the source for a shared seven-word run, and a run is reworded before the page ships. The check is in scripts/overlap_check.py and its result is in the build log.

The estimate is not a date

The ISO record shows no publication date. We plan with 15 September 2027, derived by adding 330 days to the record date, and every page that shows it also shows the word estimated. A test fails the build if the date appears without that label.

Refresh and change

scripts/refresh.py re-reads the official source, hashes the fields that matter and compares them with the record. A change fails loudly and lists the field. The watch sends the same comparison to a subscriber. A reissue of the kit is triggered by a stage change, a page count change, a text change or a date change.

What the record cannot do

It cannot read the amendment before it is published. It cannot reproduce a test vector it does not hold. It cannot test an implementation, certify an organisation or replace legal advice. Those limits are on the page rather than in a footnote because they decide whether the answer is useful.

The free check

Six answers, a deterministic rule and a date calculation. The check returns scope incomplete rather than a lighter band when a critical answer is missing. The regression table has 24 rows, each expected value taken from the rule table before the code ran.
